Clavel Arquitectos has designed a lighting system with flexible aluminium elements that can be bent three-dimensionally.
The studio renovated an obsolete hotel in the small and economically depressed city of Badajoz in Spain.
The hotel features a large atrium that allows a play of light and reflections in which they lose the notion of space. The lighting system was designed from scratch and custom-made by the architects.
This project has been longlisted in the architectural lighting category of Dezeen Awards 2020.
