Raul Sanchez Architects has designed a dental clinic with dividers that resemble a smile, located in the city centre of Barcelona, Spain.
The design reinterprets the Impress logo, a smile-like curve, to generate a set of interconnected partitions to form a large furniture assembly that meets functional needs.
While virtually the entire interior is a single-open space, the necessary visual privacy is respected by controlling heights and views from each space, which also creates anticipation and surprise about what is on the other side of each wall.
All the elements of the interior receive a colour and texture treatment that matches the Impress identity mark, and the overall design results fresh and absolutely away from the expected look of a dental clinic.
This project has been longlisted in the leisure and wellness interior category of Dezeen Awards 2020.
