Unspun technology uses algorithms to digitally design and perfectly fit jeans around a person's 3D avatar to create completely unique, optimised jeans.

This project is a hybrid of two technologies that bring circularity to the clothing industry. Stitched together with Resortecs dissolvable thread, these unspun jeans can be instantaneously disassembled with high heat and remade indefinitely.

The current industry produces 100 billion pieces of clothing annually and nearly 60 percent goes to landfill within a year. The design is a solution that is simultaneously without inventory, without waste, custom-fit, and circular.

This project has been longlisted in the wearable design project category of Dezeen Awards 2020.
