Designed by Claesson Koivisto Rune, K5 Tokyo is a boutique hotel situated in a former 1920s bank building in Tokyo.
The hotel has 20 generously-sized rooms that are housed in a four-storey concrete building.
The K5 Tokyo exists in a sprawl of concrete, asphalt and overpasses, opposite the Tokyo Stock Exchange.
The hotel emerges as a micro-complex of creative eateries, bars, gathering spots, combining Swedish minimalism and Japanese heritage design.
This project has been longlisted in the hospitality building category of Dezeen Awards 2020.
