The Non-Pavilion is a London Design Festival installation that barely exists, to make a statement that the world needs to produce less.
The minimal structure was overlaid with six invited augmented reality proposals exploring the concept of degrowth. Referencing Swiss "Baugespanne", Non-Pavilion delineated a space for testing out ideas for a fairer future.
As a piece of design activism it questioned our dependency on limitless growth – a poignantly relevant question in light of the current pandemic that has brought into focus the possibility of a slower pace of life.
This project has been longlisted in the installation design project category of Dezeen Awards 2020.
