French landscape architects Mosbach Paysagistes has explored the concept of lithosphere design in its overhaul of Phase Shifts Park.
Lithosphere design explores water, topography and soil, while atmospheric design explores heat, humidity, pollution.
An overlapping mapping organises the landscape, distributing more comfortable niches where natural and artificial devices are mixed, densified and dilated to create eleven climatic resorts.
Topographic movement develops a smooth continuity and captures rainwater to nourish the water table. The phytoremediation process filters the district wastewater before it reaches the river.
This project has been longlisted in the landscape project category of Dezeen Awards 2020.
