Scarab has produced a side table made up of six pieces of glass that have been through the process of silk-screen printing.
The studio has created the table using a technology not commonly used in the production of furniture in order to create a striking visual effect.
It is made through a process of silk-screen printing and lamination that traps the black lines inside the glass, creating a surprising effect when seen from up close.
The black lines have a double purpose, technical and aesthetic: they hide the joints of the three glass pieces that give shape to the table and create a graphic composition never seen in these kind of objects.
This project has been longlisted in the furniture design project category of Dezeen Awards 2020.
