SR Projects has created a retail store for previously online-only brand Standard Dose in New York City.

The design of the storefront in the Nomad area of New York City needed to translate the brand to the physical, while avoiding the cliches of the cannabis sector, as well as the typical retail environment.

Focusing on experience, the space incorporates various elements of modern wellness rituals: ablution, tea preparation and meditation.

All finishes, furnishings and architectural features have been calibrated to create a pervasive atmosphere of calm; colours are harmonious, textures are tactile, lighting is entirely indirect, and plants abound.

This project has been longlisted in the small retail interior category of Dezeen Awards 2020.
