Longlisted for emerging architect of the year at Dezeen Awards 2020, Surman Weston is a London architecture studio, founded by Tom Surman and Percy Weston in 2014.
At Surman Weston, every building the studio makes is carefully designed to respond to the users and location. The firm creates buildings that are flexible to the changing needs of the people who use them and the places they inhabit.
The architects eschew a house style, instead spending the early stages of a project analysing and interrogating the brief and context. With these, the studio develops designs that are highly contextually sensitive, with careful consideration of materiality, construction technique, use and function.
Surman Weston has been longlisted in the emerging architect of the year category of Dezeen Awards 2020.
