Studio Florisvanderkleij has designed an office building in the Netherlands with a low-tech adaptive facade that allows beams of sunlight to fall through the space.
The lantern is a striking architectural paragon of sustainability, a showcase for circular building, composed of re-mountable and re-usable elements.
Basic forms and fair use of materials embolden the rugged beauty of the two-storey wooden structure. All utility installations have been flexibly integrated. This concept enables recycling of up to 90 percent of the detachable building parts.
This project has been longlisted in the business building category of Dezeen Awards 2020.
