CF Møller has designed a new gathering and activity landscape in Denmark called The Heart in Ikast.
The landscape brings together teaching, sport, leisure, culture and social elements.
The surrounding activities landscape is designed around sustainable drainage principles and includes social active points, such as a skate bowl and flowskate park, a cycle pump-track, parkour facilities and playgrounds, beach volley pits and a multi-use playing field.
It also includes more quiet and shared activity spaces, including spots for petanque, picnics and campfires. In this way, the project creates informal social meeting points and connects user across age and gender.
This project has been longlisted in the landscape project category of Dezeen Awards 2020.
