Klas Hyllen Architecture has overhauled a Grade II-listed wine warehouse into a four-bedroom home in an old mill town in southwest England.

The design is focused around a birch plywood-clad suspended staircase in a triple-height void, around which the house is organised, with materials carefully brought back to life, with new ones added to compliment the industrial heritage of the building.

This project has been longlisted in the residential rebirth project category of Dezeen Awards 2020.
