James Corner Field Operations has designed a waterfront promenade and garden to improve access to Hong Kong's harbour.
The revitalised Tsim Sha Tsui waterfront provides a holistic vision for Hong Kong’s harbourfront, featuring Salisbury Garden and the 500-meter-long Avenue of Stars, which collectively provide 3.6 acres of public open space.
With over 5 million visitors since opening, the garden and promenade provide Hong Kong residents and visitors with a more connected and accessible waterfront, open views and vistas, more areas for public art and programming, additional greenery and plantings, and a variety of places to stroll, sit, socialise, and enjoy one of the world's most remarkable harbours.
This project has been longlisted in the landscape project category of Dezeen Awards 2020.
