IPR Praha has designed an exhibition based on eight principles of city development.
Urbania is a part-audio-visual experience and part-platform for debate, which in an immersive setting demonstrates some of the typical situations that come up in city development.
Visitors are guided through eight interactive stations that each represent an essential principle of city planning and development that affects all of us.
Through short, interactive vignettes, visitors become part of the city itself, witnessing, for instance, the reconstruction of a public space, redevelopment of a brownfield with a focus on multi-sectoral cooperation, or the transformation of an old factory into a cultural centre, among others.
This project has been longlisted in the exhibition design project category of Dezeen Awards 2020.
