Shortlisted for rebirth project of the year at Dezeen Awards 2020, New York studio MN DPC has converted a former ship-building factory into a headquarters for American brand Crye Precision in Brooklyn.
The 10,000 square-meter facility amalgamates the company's once dispersed administration, design, testing, fabrication, manufacturing and meeting facilities under one roof.
Faced with the impracticality of conditioning its immense volume of air, the studio abandoned convention and only tempered air where it was needed. The result is a practical space with a prehistoric forest planted within it.
