Shortlisted for residential rebirth project of the year at Dezeen Awards 2020, Glass-Block Micro House is an urban micro-house situated in a narrow alleyway in Vietnam.
The renovated house consists of a living-dining-kitchen area, with a leather fashion shop on the ground level, and two bedroom suites on the above floors with contemporary yet traditional interiors.
Two old brick walls were entirely replaced by a glass-block facade, an uncommon yet unique material.
During the daytime, the house brings in natural light and nicely blends with its surroundings. At night, the house becomes a sparkling lantern in the middle of the neighborhood.
