Shortlisted in the small retail interior of the year of Dezeen Awards 2020, Small Icon is bakery that uses a vivid gradient and soft textures to express the quality and colour of bread.

The bakery is located in Yokohama, Japan. The interior space, where all elements were kept to minimum with iconic wood surrounding the space, offers a sense of intimacy to the visitors.

An iconic appearance that can be recognised immediately from a distance and a space with a soft impression through the materials and light, allows the bread to stand out, creating a new bakery image.
