Shortlisted for Dezeen Awards 2020 designer of the year, Studio INI was founded by designer, engineer and artist Nassia Inglessis.

With offices in Athens and London, Studio INI challenges the notion of architecture as static; as a rigid shelter, disparate to our fluid minds and our connected existence in nature's ecosystem.

The studio couples scientific research with public engagement through entirely human-actuated kinetic installations of architectural scale.

In INI’s "augmented materiality", digital technology is not an end but a means to craft tangible, embodied, proprioceptive interactions that seamlessly connect us to the physical realm. With the human as an integral element of all its designs, the works prescribe no final form but capacity to transform.
