Hector Esrawe
Mexican industrial designer Héctor Esrawe is the founder and director of multidisciplinary design practice Esrawe Studio.
Esrawe graduated from the Universidad Iberoamericana (UIA) in 1992. He later became a design professor at UIA and design director at CENTRO Study House, where he created the Industrial Design Degree. In 2003, he launched Esrawe Studio.
Esrawe's enthusiasm for collaboration and multidisciplinary interaction led him to co-found EWE, VISSIO and MASA, which aim to promote Mexican collectible design. He also co-founded the perfumery brand Xinú and Casa del Agua.
His work has earned him international recognition, considered one of the Top 100 Creatives 2021 by AD Magazine, Dezeen Interior Design Studio of the Year in 2020 and Mexico’s Best Interior Designer at the Firenze Entremuros Awards in 2019. Esrawe's creations and studio have been awarded by leading design publications such as AZ Awards, FRAME, Wallpaper* and World Interior News, among others.
The Centípede bench and Vestigios jewellery pieces are currently part of the permanent collection in the High Museum of Art, Atlanta.
