Simon Hamilton
Interior designer Simon Hamilton is a native Londoner and founder of Design Career Consulting, focused on the creative sector.
Hamilton worked for architects and interior design practices in the workplace, hospitality, retail and residential sectors. He specialised in design recruitment for leading agencies in London in the mid 1990s. Building a network of clients and contacts in the UK, Europe and Asia, led him to establish Simon Hamilton & Associates Ltd, from 2002 to 2013.
In addition to authoring a design book, Hamilton has written blogs, trend reports, reviews, design articles and newsletters.
As an educator and visiting tutor, Simon has worked with Central Saint Martins, University of The Arts London; Chelsea College of Art, London; Istituto Marangoni, London and Elle Education, Madrid.
As specialists, the consultancy helps people to develop their career paths through consultations for CVs, portfolios, interview preparation, networking skills and one-to-one mentoring. DCC also collaborates with the BIID, universities and design schools including Heriot-Watt University, Edinburgh and The Interior Design School, London.
