East of Eden yoga and pilates studio in Walthamstow is a community hub for wellbeing.

The expansion was created by Studio Milne, interior architecture practice, to add a new reformer pilates studio, a cafe, shop and third studio space, plus a new entrance to the existing yoga studio.

"For an environment that has a huge emphasis on breathing for both its yoga and pilates classes, the choice of materials for all internal finishes was incredibly important. The clay plaster walls are nontoxic and VOC/formaldehyde free. The tabletops are made from 100% recycled yoghurt pots." Ruth, Studio Milne.

This project has been longlisted in the leisure and wellness interior category of Dezeen Awards 2021.
