ROOI Design and Research has designed an outdoor pavilion to unveil a comprehensive and sustainable design solution.

Many exhibitors construct temporary showrooms without considering the waste and pollution caused by them.

The architect used plywood for its particularity to be recycled for secondary use: 821 pieces of prefabricated local market standard size plywood were used. It can be easily assembled or disassembled on site within 48hours, which drastically minimises time and construction costs. After the exhibition, the entire building was transformed into 410 sets of tables and chairs situated for nearby communities.

This project has been longlisted in the sustainable design category of Dezeen Awards 2021.
