Zware Jongens' design for independent optician Optiek Hons proves that there is still unexplored terrain in the field of optical retail.

A Fresh Vision for Optical Retail; Light, bright, dynamic, and serene.

The new retail space for the independent Belgian eyewear specialist utilises beautiful mirror panelling, clever grid-design, and careful materialisation, whilst maintaining a concentration on how to enhance the experience of visiting the optician. The result presents an example of the latent possibilities of spatial design for small retail interiors.

This project has been longlisted in the small retail interior category of Dezeen Awards 2021.
