Longlisted for Dezeen Awards 2021 design studio of the year, led by John Pomp, John Pomp Studios is a design studio that creates sculptural lighting, furniture, and objects inspired by the fluidity of molten glass.
The studio's work explores abstractions of gestures found and observed in the living materials that comprise the work-- primarily molten glass. The forms in the work are inspired by capturing the phase changes of glass and metal -- allowing the process to define the final form. Pomp's work differentiates itself within the design world by keeping an organic sensibility to the process and honoring the hands that touch it along the way.

This project has been longlisted in the design studio of the year category of Dezeen Awards 2021.
