NomNom is an ecological cutlery set with a biological coating. All pieces are completely plant-based and 100% biodegradable.
Its innovation is a purely biological coating of bio waxes that makes the objects water-resistant. It also gives the material a smoother surface, reminiscent of plastic, which feels much more pleasant on the mouth and lips than conventional products without a coating. Unlike other waxes, the melting point of the mixture used lies over 80°C. This is not only important for use in contact with hot food, but also allows the usage for hot beverages, such as Tea or Coffee.

This project has been longlisted in the sustainable design category of Dezeen Awards 2021.
