A-round Architects has designed Shinhwa-Ri Housing, a house for people to live in harmony with their natural surroundings, and live independently at the same time.
Shinhwa-Ri Housing is built for two family who are friends. It is divided two houses in one land lot. The newly built house melt into the landscape which is rice fields and accept it at the same time.
The relationship between the two houses and the neighborhood was planned to be free and fluid situation that can change. Also the interior of the house forms an ambiguous and flexible space in a way that changes according to situation.
This project has been longlisted in the rural house category of Dezeen Awards 2021.
