Desert Ink were sought by lead architects Grimshaw, and exhibition designers Eden Project to bring their unique creativity and local knowledge to this pioneering project set to lead the way for worldwide sustainable development practices.

The landscape design showcases native and adapted plants draped over roof decks which consume a fraction of the resources typically required by the soft landscape in the region. Hard landscape materials employed in the landscape are either locally sourced or feature high recycled content, while desert INK’s intelligent irrigation system applies water only when it is needed.

This project has been longlisted in the landscape project category of Dezeen Awards 2021.
