The Danish studio ALL has made an iconic new city hall for the municipality of Bodø, Norway.
The vision is to create a building that unites citizens, community and the public administration in an open inviting democratic meeting space.

The city hall is 12.000 sqm with equal parts transformed existing buildings and a new construction. The new construction mirrors the existing sloping roofs forming a crystal volume. The natural stone catches the existing colors and characters creating a harmonious unity.

Inside reveals a light wooden interior which merges new and old into one warm Scandinavian public living room!

This project has been longlisted in the civic building category of Dezeen Awards 2021.
