The Museum Hotel Antakya, designed by EAA-Emre Arolat Architecture is located in Antioch, the world's fourth largest developed city during the Roman period.
The archeological findings in the region, their restrictions and the hotel's strict codes were the main requirements when approaching the project.
Moving away from the conventional hotel typology, the project proposed integrating a public museum that exhibits restored archeological artifacts.
A unique building program was created which enabled the coexistence of public and private projects in the area.
This project has been longlisted in the hospitality building category of Dezeen Awards 2021.
