Barrio Bohrer has converted a former electricity supply premise into offices for a new and technological real estate developer in Madrid.

The value of the project lies in the dual character of its strategy, in which, first the existing space was rehabilitated, treating the structural walls and floors with new textures, without modifying their original configuration.

Secondly, metal carpentry and furniture pieces were introduced, which ended up adapting the rehabilitated space to the necessary program.

This way, the space can return to its original state by simply disassembling the screens and furniture, being able to host different uses in the future without needing to get renovated again.

This project has been longlisted in the small workspace interior category of Dezeen Awards 2021.
