Corvin Cristian Studio has designed a gelateria, tiramisu and coffee shop called Velocità.

Expressing the Italian flavour while bringing back the former glory of the art deco building resulted in a contemporary synthesis of Milan modernism and art deco.

The bar consists of mobile pieces on castors that can be moved around for a variety of configurations. Colours are the original ones we found by peeling layers of paint. The terrazzo is a custom recipe, with colourful stones reminding the ingredients in the products.

The almost clinical cleanliness is softened by the rattan and curved wood furniture, the subtle warm paint tones and orange details.

This project has been longlisted in the small retail interior category of Dezeen Awards 2021.
