Many exhibitors construct temporary showrooms without considering the waste and pollution caused by them.
To counter this problem, an outdoor pavilion was designed to unveil a comprehensive and sustainable design solution.
The architect used plywood for its particularity to be recycled for secondary use:821 pieces of prefabricated local market standard size plywood were used. It can be easily assembled or disassembled on site within 48hours, which drastically minimizes time and construction costs. After the exhibition, the entire building was transformed into 410 sets of tables and chairs situated for nearby communities.
This project has been shortlisted in the sustainable interior category of Dezeen Awards 2021.
