Honext is an emerging Barcelona-based company that has engineered the carbon-neutral, circular, bio-tech Honext process.

The Honext process transforms industrial paper sludge and post-consumer cardboard waste into Honext panels: a resin-free, cellulose-based board material, which is non-toxic, 100% recycled and 100% recyclable.

Honext panels have an outstanding sustainability profile and mechanical properties suitable to be used as indoor cladding and partitioning. The Honext industrial process is bio-based, zero-waste and resin-free. It reinforces and protects the bonds between cellulose fibres.

This project has been shortlisted in the sustainable design category of Dezeen Awards 2021.
