Babette Porcelijn
Babette Porcelijn is a sustainable designer, speaker and successful author.
Porcelijn studied industrial design at Delft University of Technology (2001), where she gained knowledge of industrial processes and chain analysis. She started her own design studio for design and communication in 2011.
In early 2014, she changed course when, during a conversation with her husband, the environmental impact of production chains struck her and she set out to investigate. As a result she wrote the book The Hidden Impact (2016). More than 20,000 copies of the book have been sold and the book has also been published in France. To provide even more hands-on guidance, she developed the do-book EcoPositive in five steps together with the online tool mijnverborgenimpact.nl. The happy 2050 scenario was published in July 2021.
Babette is also the director of the anbi foundation Think Big Act Now, through which she organises workshops and training courses. She is a frequently invited speaker and regularly appears in the media.
