Nick Shute
Nick Shute is the co-founder and creative director of London based design consultancy and procurement firm Dodds & Shute.
For the last few years Shute's focus has been on calling for a more transparent and responsible furniture industry, making his business a case study for positive change. Shute developed a method of calculating the carbon footprint of every Dodds & Shute project and then mitigating for this impact. He devised and carried out an industry wide audit of the firm's entire supply chain, providing a unique tool to measure the sustainable performance of the furniture sector.
Dodds & Shute’s mission is to instigate real change in the design field and overhaul what is considered acceptable practice, while providing designers and businesses with the information to implement sustainable decisions.
