Silvester Fuller has created a structure in Sydney that subtly manipulates scale and orientation to tailor each space to its specific needs.
The project contains 36 apartments and six retail tenancies, anchoring the southwest corner of the precinct with a primary outlook over Macquarie Place Park.
Given the relatively small scale of the structure and the collection of diverse buildings surrounding the area, the design seeks to give the project a singular identity overlaying an incremental transition of form and opening size in response to orientation, daylight, views, sound, privacy and proximity.
Interiors are designed with a health and wellness focus, guiding internal form, material selection and colour for living, bathing and sleeping spaces within.
This project has been longlisted in the housing project category of Dezeen Awards 2022.
