ANDlight has produced a light inspired by the architectural elegance of Doric columns found in ancient Greece.

Created to convey order, symmetry and magnificence, the design sees the faceted surface of the column fashioned to mimic the fluted forms of the Doric order. Where the shapes were used on buildings and temples to create a sense of rhythm, here they softly diffuse the light as it radiates into the space.

Comprising a series of machine mould-blown glass cylinders, it can be arranged to lengthen a space vertically or expand it horizontally.

This project has been longlisted in the lighting design category of Dezeen Awards 2022.
