Community Design Agency (CDA) is an architecture and community development practice that addresses systemic inequalities by working alongside marginalised communities to transform spaces where people live, work and play.

Despite the poor physical infrastructure and inadequate resources, marginalised communities survive on their strong social bonds, which CDA believes is valuable for creating robust neighbourhoods.

Through a participatory design process with the residents and services of professional designers, engineers, financial and social work partners CDA brings the visions of communities to reality.

It seeks to scale this highly replicable and inclusive process by bringing it to similar communities throughout the world.

This studio has been longlisted in the emerging design studio of the year category of Dezeen Awards 2022.
