Crafting Plastics! Studio is an award-winning design and research studio based in Bratislava, founded by Vlasta Kubušová and Miroslav Král.

The company has been exploring sustainable, transparent production processes in response to ongoing issues of climate crises driven by mass consumption and the steep use of renewable resources.

By combining science and design, the studio has found properties, aesthetics and values from natural bioplastics. By using this perishable material, Crafting Plastics! Studio offers solutions for closed-loop systems in various fields.

The studio aims to transform perishable materials into value-added products. They define the entire material's cycle, from unrefined matter to the final product until its decomposition, and create the strategies for the implementation of the new materials in the system as whole.

This studio has been longlisted in the emerging design studio of the year category of Dezeen Awards 2022.
