Héctor Serrano has created a collection that explores 3D printing technology to innovative and elegant effect.
Dégradé is a collection of lamps and tables that explores 3D printing technology in order to achieve a unique gradient effect, evoking the colour palette of a clear sky at sunset.
The works are printed in one piece with an industrial robotic arm that adds colorant as it prints, a result only possible using additive manufacturing. The material is also equally considered – the use of PETG plastic not only generates a linear texture that gives the pieces a characteristic finish, but is also 75% recycled and 100% recyclable to achieve a sustainable product.
This project has been longlisted in the lighting design category of Dezeen Awards 2022.
