Tsai Design has created a new table designed for flexible small living.

In its everyday configuration the piece is a round table that seats two occupants, with two wings on either side that can then fold up to form a rectangular table to accommodate six or more when friends and family members are over.

Designed as part of a small 50 square metre apartment renovation, it was created for the owner who lives on her own but wished for the ability to entertain a large group of guests on special occasions.

This project has been longlisted in the furniture design category of Dezeen Awards 2022.
