Don Tanani's inaugural collection sees an exploration of ancient Egyptian form and culture through the lens of contemporary collectible design.

Duality is a collection that takes inspiration from pharaonic culture and philosophy.

Where in ancient Egypt, objects and art were considered a living image of their subject, preserving their likeness and existing for the afterlife and future generations, the collection aims to revive cultural memories and bring centuries of craft and design into the present day.

In bringing together materials and skills in the context of contemporary creations, the result combines to express opulence, texture and life in objects that marry function with art.

This project has been longlisted in the furniture design category of Dezeen Awards 2022.
