Flexi-Hex has created an innovative packaging sleeve made from recycled tissue paper that helps protect fragile products in transit.

The design sees a product that is extremely strong, easy to use, flexible and aesthetically pleasing, all due to its unique honeycomb cell structure. It was created as an environmentally friendly alternative to materials such as bubble wrap, air filled bags, moulded pulp, and polystyrene.

Flexi-Hex is recyclable, biodegrades in six weeks and can be reused up to five times. Its expands and contracts around products of all shapes and sizes, while also driving efficiencies in shipping and storage due to reduced volumetrics compared to other packaging materials.

This project has been longlisted in the sustainable design category of Dezeen Awards 2022.
