Tsolka Architects has created a twin-residence complex on the Athenian riviera that mirrors the compelling natural beauty of its surroundings.
The project is located in Vouliagmeni, and is designed as a direct spatial response to the landscape.
The architecture seeks to enhance, rather than compromise, the local topography, using subtle and understated forms of modernism to create minimal interference with the site.
The geometric composition of the facade works in harmony with the topography of the hillside and coastline below, emphasising lightness and transparency. It uses glass, stone, wood and white concrete finishes to create a balanced yet abstract three-dimensional play of geometry and volume.
This project has been longlisted in the housing project category of Dezeen Awards 2022.
