Benedetto Camerana Studio designed La Pista500 in Torino, Italy.

This project is the new hanging garden on the Lingotto roof test track in Torino, transforming the former Fiat plant’s roof track – a symbol of the automotive industry celebrated by Le Corbusier – into a sustainable oasis.

The hanging garden brings a graft of nature into the city with an experimental character and remodels the test track for low-emission mobility, updating the industrial memory that is now integrated into the design garden.

La Pista500 highlights a system of thematic areas such as meditation, fitness, running, and art exhibitions, while implementing botanical biodiversity.

This contemporary park promotes ESG principles, welcomes citizens and answers the automotive world renewal.

This project has been longlisted in the landscape project category of Dezeen Awards 2022.
