Henry Swanzy has created a sit/stand desk with configurable desk height and angle for user compatibility.

The design combines craft skills with innovation and a selective use of advanced materials and techniques to produce a desk that converts from sitting to standing in a matter of a few seconds.

A certified timber structure and cork work surface offer a lightweight frame and natural grip, while the Dyneema cord used in dinghy racing maintains the desk to a load-tested weight of up to 65kg. The cord is held in place by cleats discretely held within the laser-cut frame, and can be adjusted with ease. The 8kg desk rests securely against wall and floor, held firmly by cork discs, and folds flat for hanging storage when not in use.

This project has been longlisted in the furniture design category of Dezeen Awards 2022.
