Poppy Lawman Studio has created a design exploring circular production inspired by the Norwegian paper industry.
Papirstein Lenestol is a lounge chair made of surfaces of highly compressed paper pulp exploring circular production processes for interior furniture, inspired by the Norwegian paper industry.
An incredible material found all over the world, paper pulp is both highly recyclable and biodegradable. For this series, the pulp combination consists of a mixed pulp of both the common white, soft, inner wood but also the tree's dark, outer bark material, ensuring little to no waste in the production process.
The result is a project that delves into the evolving possibilities in enviro-positive furniture using the circular material of paper.
This project has been longlisted in the seating design category of Dezeen Awards 2022.
