Studio MK27 has designed Patina Maldives Spa in the Fari Islands, Maldives.

This project was designed within the new flagship resort from the Patina Group. Set in the Fari Islands archipelago in North Malé Atoll, visitors can immerse themselves in a new expression of island life through thoughtful tailor-made wellness journeys, enjoying a welcoming space for people to live light, and unleash creativity.

In Patina Maldives Spa, elegant design inspires the mind through a journey of body and self-nourishment. It's a soulful place of life-affirming vitality and refreshing experiences that renew imagination.

Throughout the interiors, earthy colour palettes, subtle textures and matte surfaces are complemented by Arcadian materials to create a dialogue with nature. Wood, linen, rattan, paper cord, stone and natural fibres extend out from the interiors, blurring boundaries, drawing the outside world in while enticing inhabitants out.

Millwork furniture customised by Studio MK27 exclusively for Patina Maldives incorporates subtle practical and aesthetic design features that elevate guests' experience and cater to the needs of the connected contemporary traveller – from integrated control panels to concealed device charging compartments.

This project has been longlisted in the leisure and wellness interiors category of Dezeen Awards 2022.
