Petit Pli has designed the Entropy Vest in London, United Kingdom.

This project was designed to be worn during outdoor pursuits in bitingly cold conditions; the non-toxic chemical solution is able to store heat energy to be released on-demand when needed.

Petit Pli is a material technology company and its innovation Entropy Vest supports humanity's curiosity to explore and reach out into the unknown.

"[We] believe that designs which fulfil real human needs have greater emotional durability and longevity and [we] entered the market to challenge the true capabilities of existing thermally regulating fabrics or embedded electronics," said designers Petit Pli.

Looking into the near future, the Entropy Vest will also be released in a cooling version for sweltering heat conditions.

This project has been longlisted in the wearable design category of Dezeen Awards 2022.
