Nosigner has designed Regene Office in Yokohama, Japan.

This project is an office designed in a sustainable manner with minimal environmental impact by upcycling the large amount of construction waste generated during the renovation process as interior materials and reducing CO2 emissions.

"By cutting and arranging approximately 2 tons of lightweight steel frame remnants into random lengths, we designed ceiling louvres with a unique look," added design studio Nosigner.

The designers also used tiles fired from a mixture of waste materials and recycled industrial aluminium foil to create an office space in which the majority of the materials are derived from waste.

This project has been longlisted in the sustainable interior category of Dezeen Awards 2022.
